"We request the following information:
- The total cost of operating your consenting department, including all associated expenses.
- The number of full-time equivalent (FTE) staff employed in the consenting department.
- The percentage of resource consents processed within the legal time frame in the last financial year.
- Details of any additional funding or budget increases allocated to consent processing in recent years.
- Information on any backlog in resource consent applications and plans to address this.
- Any reviews or changes implemented to improve the consent processing system, including the use of external consultants.
- Details of discounts or waivers provided due to delayed consent processing and the total cost of these to the council.
We do not wish to cause unnecessary expense or burden on your agency. If clarification of any of our requests is needed please call or email. Likewise, if a request proves unnecessarily burdensome in form and we are likely to be able to adjust it to be more specific or better suited to your information systems without losing the benefit of what is sought, please also get in touch. If there is likely to be a delay in being able to assemble or provide some of the information requested, please provide the rest of the information as it becomes available."
