Soil Quality in Greater Wellington Region 2007/08: Current Status of Selected Drystock Sites and Comparison With Previous Sampling Results

This report presents the results of soil quality sampling
undertaken on 23 drystock/pastoral sites in the Wellington
region during 2007/08 and compares the results with
those from previous sampling undertaken between 2001
and 2004. Soil quality was assessed using a set of seven
physical, chemical and biological properties that target the
dynamic aspects of soil health such as soil structure,
nutrients, organic matter and heavy metal content.
