Guidelines for on-site sewage systems in the Wellington Region
Search in document library
These Guidelines have been prepared for staff of Wellington Regional
Council and the territorial authorities of the Wellington Region. They
contain information about the effects of discharging sewage to land from
on-site sewage systems, the regional rules that apply to such discharges,
and the kinds of systems that can be used to treat and dispose of sewage
on-site.
These Guidelines are primarily for the use of territorial authority staff, both
planning and technical, when they are assessing the suitability of on-site
sewage treatment system designs, or applications to subdivide or change
a land use.
